Winter Clothing Drive 2017
A message from Mrs. Dupuis:
We have had an extraordinarily cold harsh winter so far and it is forecasted to continue. We have been discussing with the students the effects of cold weather on people who are homeless. The students once again are more than eager to help those less fortunate right here in our city.
Starting Monday January 9, 2017 students are encouraged to bring item/s to help homeless people in our community keep warm this winter.
The following items are in need:
ADULT sized:
new or gently used…..
Socks
Toques
Scarves
Blankets
Gloves/mittens
Winter coat/boots
Backpack
Collapsible umbrellas
Students can drop off their item/s in the library on the collection table.
The last day for drop off is Monday January 30, 2017
Mrs. Dupuis will be delivering our collection along with members of the student council to the Lookout Emergency Aid Society in New Westminster.
Howay Helping Hands loves to help and this is one way we can help those in need in our community.
