Principal Update and December News
I am pleased to announce that Nadia Young has been appointed as Principal of F.W. Howay Elementary commencing January 8, 2024. Ms. Young is currently the Vice Principal at Lord Kelvin Elementary. I will continue in my role as Interim Principal until Winter Break. I will leave secure in the knowledge that the school is being left in good hands. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Howay and want to express my gratitude again for the warm welcome I have received from the school community.
Our School Learning Plan has been posted to the school website. We are continuing with our theme of Place-based Learning and this year will focus on mathematics in the natural environment. Please look for an email coming to your inbox soon sharing a SWAY documenting our school-wide field trip to Rocky Point Park in October.
