Howay Helping Hands is back at it again with our first local fundraiser for the school year: SOCKTOBER!!
We will be collecting new adult sized socks to donate to
The Lookout Society shelter in New Westminster.
With the cooler weather and rainy days ahead, socks are in great demand at local shelters. We want to make a difference to those in our community by donating lots of socks!!! Our goal is to collect 500 pairs of new adult sized socks and our super goal is to collect 800 pairs of socks!! Socktober runs from October 1, 2025 to October 31, 2025.
We look forward to another successful fundraiser! Your support and involvement is greatly appreciated.

UPDATE!!
We’re thrilled to announce that we exceeded our Sock-tober goal! Thanks to our school communities incredible generosity, we collected 1,068 pairs of socks to donate to those in need.
Students may have been extra motivated by the fun challenges Mrs. Young took on, including eating durian fruit, being wrapped up like a Halloween mummy and dancing to The Monster Mash onstage! Your dynamic giving truly made this campaign a success.
